Projects - Three Year Plan
The three year plan establishes at the outset the intentions of the organisation in terms of SMART and costed targets. This will allow the organisation to continually monitor its progress and review its capability to deliver in the manner intended the original aims.
The yearly targets allow the identification of appropriate tasks which will need to be performed in order to achieve the targets. This in turn enables prioritising to take place so aiding the efficiency of operations.
The optimum effectiveness is then achieved in the most economic manner thus helping the organisation to acquire a good reputation raising its credibility factor.

Targets for first year (1st January -31st December 2000).
  1. Have a fully functional and operational base which is recognised by central and local government nationally.
  2. Compile comprehensive database of nationally recognised Sikh organisations/prominent individuals.
  3. Establish funding mechanisms to ensure continuity and sustainability of organisation.
  4. Provide organisational structure to celebrate nationally 300 years of Sikhism on Thursday 13th April 2000.
  5. Complete booklet for wide distribution comparing Sikhism with Christianity.
  6. Set up framework to receive feedback so that the impact of the organisations work can be measured - prepare Annual Report.

Targets for second year (1st January -31st December 2001).

  1. Have a fully functional and operational base which is recognised by all major voluntary sector agencies nationally.
  2. Update twice yearly comprehensive database of recognised Sikh organisations/prominent individuals.
  3. Review funding mechanisms to ensure continuity and sustainability of organisation.
  4. Provide quarterly newsletter to affiliated members detailing major achievements and issues on the horizon.
  5. Complete second booklet for wide distribution comparing Sikhism with one of the other major religions in the UK.
  6. Respond in full to feedback received from affiliates.
  7. Produce Annual Report to be presented at AGM.

Targets for third year (1st January -31st December 2002).

  1. Have a fully functional and operational base which is recognised by all major commercial sector agencies nationally.
  2. Update twice yearly comprehensive database of recognised Sikh organisations/prominent individuals.
  3. Review funding mechanisms to ensure continuity and sustainability of organisation.
  4. Provide quarterly newsletter to affiliated members detailing major achievements and issues on the horizon.
  5. Complete third booklet for wide distribution comparing Sikhism with one of the other major religions in the UK.
  6. Review the functioning and effectiveness of the organisation.
  7. Respond in full to feedback received from affiliates.
  8. Produce Annual Report to be presented at AGM..
